I was wrong... about the election (Newsletter #9) Richmond, VA

andrewjhallman

Brief update from lovely James River Park in Richmond, Virginia, including my Election Day prediction, and post-mortem. Spoiler alert: I was wrong! Fortunately, I did not make any bold bets on Polymarket.

James River Park--which is really a series of interconnected parks spanning both sides of the James, with three walkable bridges across the river--is a fantastic urban park, full of interesting sights, historical sites, side loops, and assorted nooks and crannies. Rivalling Fairmount, even. It's been my go-to for exercise these past two weeks, as it's only a ten-minute drive away.

This week I posted two videos on my main channel, The Aisle of Misfit Books. Check 'em out! (You can also find the scripts/show notes and links to the video here on the blog.)

William Blake's best illustrated book, never intended for publication, and virtually unseen until 1972: William Blake illustrating Thomas Gray's Poems

The Greatest Illustrated Fantasy You've Never Heard Of: William Timlin's The Ship that Sailed to Mars

Still hacking away at Silk Maidens--I'm determined to get it under 100,000 words this week. Presently at around 110,000.
